Papatuanuku represents the Earth. This element makes up the fourth learning team at Hataitai School. Each of the classes are named after various Maunga (Mountains) which can be located across New Zealand. We currently have two learning spaces for the Year 0-2 students.
Michelle is the Papatuanuku Team Leader and teaches in Remutaka Year 2 class. Kelly teaches in the Aoraki Year 1-2 class and Amanda and Bronagh teach the Year 1 class in Waiopehu.
Our vision is to transition the children into our school environment and to give them the tools to be successful and enthusiastic learners. We encourage children to be curious and to explore our world within a relevant context.
