Welcome to Hataitai School
Hataitai School was founded in September 1914 as a side school of Roseneath School and was named Hataitai Side School. In 1921 the roll had grown to 200 so Hataitai School became an entity on its own and a full primary school was established.
Today, we are a state primary school which educates children from Years 1 to 8 and has a roll of approximately 350 pupils.
There are four Learning Teams:
Papatuanuku - Years 1 and 2
Nga Hau e Wha - Years 3 and 4
Nga Wai - Years 5 and 6
Ahi - Years 7 and 8
Our Educational Philosophies Are Embedded In Our Mission Statement:
Kia Kaha, Kia Toa - Be Strong, Be Brave
Our Vision Belief:
Confident, independent, highly achieving students who enjoy learning.
Our Value system is founded in the philosophy of RESPECT.
MANA - Respect for Self
MANAAKI - Respect for Others
AKO - Respect for Learning
We foster confident, independent, highly achieving students who enjoy learning through our Values.
