Papatuanuku represents the Earth element which makes the fourth learning team at Hataitai School. Each of the classes are named after various Maunga (Mountains) that can be found across New Zealand. We currently have three learning spaces with children from Year 0-2, with a growing roll.
Michelle is the Team Leader and is the Year 2 teacher of Orongorongo along with Bronagh. Sarah teaches in Rimutaka Year 1 class and Amanda teaches our Reception class students in Waiopehu.
Our vision is to transition the children into our school environment and to give them the tools to be successful and enthusiastic learners. We encourage children to be curious and to explore our world within a relevant context.
