HASCI is operated as a not for profit incorporated society. A committee of volunteer parents is in place to provide the necessary oversight and support required to ensure that the programme is well run and successful in every aspect.
The philosophy underlying the programme is to provide a high quality childcare service after school hours. It aims to provide a safe, caring, recreational environment that allows children to express themselves. On a normal school day, the service will commence with a light afternoon tea that is followed by a combination of scheduled activities and free play. We utilise the school grounds in outdoor play and also provide indoor activities such as arts and crafts, movies, blocks, board games, jewellery making, reading, dress ups, imaginative play etc.
Children walking home alone
Some parents & caregivers allow their children to walk home from after school care unaccompanied at a certain time. If you wish to make such an arrangement for your child or children then click here to download permission to walk home form. Children will not be able to walk home on their own unless this form has been completed and given to the after school care team.
Charges per session (3.00pm - 5.45pm)
The after school care programme normally operates during the hours of 3:00pm – 5:45pm, Monday to Friday on normal school days only (i.e. when children are in attendance at school). Please note, there is a late pick up fee if the child is picked up after 5.45pm.
