PLAYERS, COACHES, PARENTS

 

  • Children play organised sport for FUN and ENJOYMENT

  • Applaud the good performance and efforts by your team and their opponents.  Respect the other side – without them there would be no game!

  • Congratulate both teams upon their performance, regardless of the outcome.

  • Mistakes are part of learning.  Never ridicule or criticise a child for making a mistake during a competition.  Praise and encouragement are motivational.

  • Encourage players to play according to the rules, and to respect the official’s decisions.

  • Demonstrate appropriate social behaviour by not using foul language, harassing players, coaches and officials.  Condemn the use of violence in any form, be it spectators, coaches or players.
