Mistakes are part of learning. Never ridicule or criticise a child for making a mistake during a competition. Praise and encouragement are motivational.

Encourage players to play according to the rules, and to respect the official’s decisions.

Demonstrate appropriate social behaviour by not using foul language, harassing players, coaches and officials. Condemn the use of violence in any form, be it spectators, coaches or players.
